The Historical Harcourt Suites is a small period guesthouse nestled in the heart of Dublin South City Centre. The building is part of Harcourt Terrace which is a famous Regency architectural piece. The terrace has a very colourful history. Number One, built in 1830 and has been a lodging house for most of its existence. The house was once the home of former President of Ireland, Patrick Hillary. Irish Revolutionary Michael Collins was sheltered in the terrace during the Irish war of independence. Other famous residents include: Sarah Purser, Micheál Mac Liammóir, Hilton Edwards and Colm Tóibín. Regular visitors to the terrace included Orson Welles.
